Please see the Irish Pony Club Combined Training Page for general information on Combined Training.
Combined Training is a competition consisting of riding a dressage test and doing a round of show jumping. The training is usually done in flat work and show jumping rallies respectively.
Competitions
Our club has done some Combined Training competitions and it is also usually offered to those who do not do a test on the Friday of summer camp. Besides, there are also Combined Training competitions at our Area 3 Qualifier. The best go on to compete at the national IPC finals.
In 2009 a new competition was introduced where the highest placed in the Intermediate and Senior Combined Training who are riding Irish bred horses with green passports (you must be able to prove your horse's breeding) at the Area Qualifiers will qualify for a Combined Training competition at the RDS. This competition will also be available in 2010.
