What are Mounted Games?

There are a variety of mounted games or pony games. You can best learn them at your pony club's games rallies since a lot of them are quite hard to explain when you don't see the course in front of you. Pony Games are great fun and help you to get a better seat and to be better able to manage your pony. There are area qualifiers in pony games where your club can qualify for the national finals that are held at the RDS in August.

Age Groups

Ponies must be 5 years old or over to participate in Mounted Games.

Pony Games are a team competition. There are usually four riders on a team.

Under 10 - all riders on a team must be under 10 years of age on 1st January of competition year.

Junior - all riders on a team must be under 13 years of age on 1st January of competition year.

Senior - all riders on a team must be under 16 years of age on 1st January of competition year.

Under 21 - all riders on a team must be under 21 years of age on 1st January of competition year.
