Who is John Ledingham?
John Ledingham is originally from Clashmore, West Waterford and a former member of the West Waterford Pony Club. He has had a great career as a show jumper and the Irish Pony Club named their Intermediate team show jumping competition after him.
What is the John Ledingham competition?
The John Ledingham competition is an Intermediate show jumping team competition. There are 4 members on a John Ledingham team. They have to qualify for the Irish Pony Club John Ledingham finals at Stradbally, Co. Laois at their area qualifier. First and second placed teams at the area qualifiers usually qualify for the national finals that are normally held in mid August.
Age Group
This is an Intermediate competition. This means the riders have to be under 21 years old on 1st January of the competition year. They must also have their C-Test. Ponies must be 5 years old or over. The jumps have a maximum height of 1m.

If age and ability wise you could do both the Robbie Bailey and John Ledingham competitions you must choose one. You cannot do both in one year!
