2007 Results
These are the WWPC Halloween Show results: 50cm: 1st Hannah Houlihan, 2nd Sally Prendergast, 3rd Kate Houlihan, 4th Kieran McCarthy, 5th Aine Slattery (all Araglin PC), 70cm: 1st, Sarah Connell, 2nd Jenniffer Hennessy, joint 3rd Emma Houlihan (Araglin) and Mia O’Flynn, 80cm: 1st Gavin Smiddy, 2nd James Noonan, 3rd Daniel Mangan, 4th Emily Gillespie, 5th Gavin Smiddy, 6th Aisling O’Brien, 90cm : 1st Teresa O'Donoghue, Araglin. 2nd Gavin Smiddy, 3rd Roisin Smiddy, 1MT Maxi Rider Accumulator competition; 1st Teresa O'Donoghue, Araglin. 2nd Gavin Smiddy, 3rd Daniel Mangan, 4th Roisin Smiddy, 5TH Teresa O'Donoghue, 6th Aisling O'Brien. Congratulations – Congratulations to everyone who did so well in the Ballyrafter and Colligan Autumn League Finals. Ballyrafter - Unregistered Horses: James Noonan won the Leading Horse in the 80cm class, and Maeve Hennessy placed 6th in the finals. Unregistered Ponies: Colm O’Danoghue placed 6th in the 50cm finals, Sarah Connell won leading pony in the 60cm, and placed 6th in the finals that were won by Jack O’Donoghue. Laura Connors won leading pony in the 70cm, in which Lorna Power placed 2nd, and Jack O’Donoghue placed 6th in the finals. Kirsty Connell and Sarah Connors won leading pony in the 80cm, Sarah also came 2nd in the finals with Jack O’Donoghue placing 4th. In the 90cm class Sarah Connors won leading pony with Avril Riordan placing 3rd and 4th on her two ponies, Claire McAuliffe came 5th and Sarah Connors came 6th in the finals. Jill, Shay, and Lucy O’Gorman won the team challenge just in front of Sarah, Laura, and Nicholas Connors. In the Registered Ponies Dan O’Keeffe and Joanna O’Keeffe placed in the 128 class. Avril Riordan placed 2nd in the 138ABC. Charlotte Connors came 3rd in the Mini Plus League and 2nd in the Mini League at the Colligan Equestrian Centre Autumn show jumping final. Well done all!

Congratulations to our Tetrathlon teams! The boys just missed a rosette by one place coming a great 11th and the girls also came a very good 15th out of 25. Thanks to Colum McCarthy, Matthew Mulcahy, Daniel Mangan, Jack Griffin, Claire McAuliffe, Avril Riordan, Sarah Connors, and Jane Mangan for training so hard and doing us proud. A big thank you also goes to the McCarthys for the shooting training!

Our girls' Minimus team came a very good 8th at the Minimus in Waterford on Saturday and Sunday, 23rd and 24th June. The boys also did very well. Eimear O'Brien came 4th overall in the running phase. Well done all!

Congratulations to Danielle Murphy who came 1st in the Working Hunter Championship in Belgooley on Saturday, 2nd June. Danielle also came 1st in the Working Hunter class at Kenmare show on Sunday, 3rd June and 1st in the show pony class as well as making reserve show pony champion. Well done Danielle!

Horses: Shane Murphy won the Bucas award for the leading 6-year-old horse, James Noonan came 2nd in the 70cm horses, Maeve Hennessy came 3rd in the same class on her young horse;
Registered Ponies: Niamh McCormack came 1st in the 128BCD;
Unregistered ponies: Sarah Connell came 2nd in 60cm and Jack O'Donoghue came 3rd in the same class, Danielle Murphy came came 1st in the 80cm and 2nd in the 90cm, Avril Riordan came 3rd in the 80cm and 6th in the 90cm, Emily Gillespie came 1st in the beginners class and 2nd in the 50cm.

Congratulations to Claire McAuliffe who came 2nd in the Pony Singles at Tallow Hunter Trial on Sunday, 25th March and to Jane Mangan who came 4th in the same competition. Jane also came 4th in the Pony Pairs together with Aisling McCarthy - well done girls! Congratulations also to Emma O'Leary who came 3rd in the Starters.

W.W.P.C. members Aisling O'Brien, Kirsty Connell and Mathew Kavanagh had a great day at Ballyrafter finishing 2nd in the Primary Interschools Team competition. They were one of only two teams out of 26, to get through to the final jump off with double clears. They gave a huge effort to obtain the fastest time of the day, only to occur 4 faults. Aisling O'Brien threw caution to the wind to gain 2nd place in the individual with Mathew filling the 4th spot. Team 2 Sarah Connell, Jack O'Keeffe, and Jack O'Donoghue also competed with great credit and came away with the Best Turned Out.
