First Cross Country Training for Minimus 2012 will be held in Boulta on Saturday 11th February. Anyone hoping to do minimus this year should try & attend this rally. Please book in with PC phone.

If you are considering minimus this year you should compete in as many hunter trials as possible. Most will have an U12 course to keep safety in mind.

*** We are running a U12  Hunter  trial league  this year . It would be great if you all could get involved in the league and it should be great practise for the minimus. Keep an eye on our website for details of hunter trial dates. Especially Kilguilkey as that is our venue this year for minimus. (Rules are at the bottom of this page)

Swimming is ongoing at Aura leisure centre Youghal on Weds & Fri evenings 7-8pm. Book directly with the pool.

Running Training will start around Easter.

Cross Country Riding Training
You can participate in our general xc rallies to prepare for the xc phase of the Minimus, but we  also organise special Minimus xc trainings that are only open to Minimus participants and will often have typical Minimus type fences including the slip rail and the gate. Once you are on the Minimus list you will receive text messages about these trainings. A text will go out to all our members at the beginning of each season to ask who is interested in doing the Minimus that year. Those members who reply positively to the text are put on the Minimus list and all further texts regarding the Minimus usually only go out to the members whose names are on this list.

U12 CLUB HUNTER TRIAL LEAGUE 2012 RULES

1. Open to all paid up members of wwpc
2. Under  12 on 1st january 2012
3. Result to include all pony club, hunt and other hunter trials
as long as they do  not exclude anyone from that age group from competition
4. Only one result per day (your best one).
5. Hore  concore results not eligible.
6. When an over 12 competes in an u12 competition the result is not eligible.
7. When two riders compete in an u12 pairs competition and either one or both are over 12 the results are not eligible for either child.
8. Pony club championship results are not  eligible because the competition is not open to all

Points will be awarded for participation in all hunter trials (e.g. pony club, hunt).  

1st place 6points
2nd place 5 points
3rd place 4 points
clear round 3 points
Participation 1 point

Only your best 5 results counted.

Send results by text only to Bridget Collins 087 2325664 as  soon as possible after the day of competition. Results will not be accepted unless you notify me within 5 days. It is the responsibility of each individual member to submit their own results.
League finishes on 30th April 2012.
